License 2 Chill is an all-ages event! Children 5 and under are free. Anyone 6 years of age or older must have a ticket to gain entry to the event.
Etix is the only verified ticketing provider for License 2 Chill; tickets sold on any other platforms may be invalid and voided. We have both general admission and VIP tickets available for purchase. All tickets are standing room only.
VIP tickets include a viewing area within close proximity to the stage, as well as access to private restrooms and a private bar.
If you’d like to sleep under the stars, The Woodlands Nature Preserve has 6,000 acres of stunning landscape including 11 lakes, a blackwater swamp, and an abundance of natural beauty and wildlife. They offer multiple on-site camping options, including primitive camping, RV sites with and without power, and even glamping. Click here to view all their camping options. Camping is an additional charge to your ticket. Camping passes do not include your ticket to the event, and your ticket to the event does not include camping. You must purchase both separately if you want to camp on site. Your camping pass will include overnight camping for both Friday 9/30 and Saturday 10/1.

Gates will open at 12pm ET, and music will start at 1pm ET.
Yes! We will have plenty of bars serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, as well as food options available all day. We’ll share more details on food options closer to the festival!

Currently we are not accepting applications for volunteers or employment, but you can check closer to the event to see if any opportunities are available.

License 2 Chill is a rain or shine event.
We love pets, but for everyone’s safety (particularly your animals’), pets are not permitted into the License 2 Chill festival grounds.
The Woodlands Nature Preserve does permit dogs to enter the park grounds on leashes only. Be aware that there are alligators and other predators on the property, and you are at your own risk. Owners who do not maintain their dog on a leash will be asked to leave without a refund.
We recommend keeping your furry friends safely at home.
Coolers are not permitted into the festival grounds. Please leave all coolers at your campsite or at home.
Festival attendees are permitted to bring small point-and-shoot cameras into the festival grounds. Please be mindful of others when using flash photography in dark concert areas.
However, only approved press photographers are permitted to bring in professional-grade cameras with interchangeable lenses into the festival grounds.
The Woodlands Nature Reserve is a no drone zone. Drones are prohibited at Woodlands Nature Reserve in the airspace over the property to prevent any stress on sensitive wildlife and migratory birds, because of frequent and unsafe wind speeds, seasonal high fire danger and to prevent any impact on another guest’s experience or privacy.
The Woodlands Nature Reserve is a vast 6,000 acre nature reserve including 11 lakes, a blackwater swamp, and an abundance of natural beauty and wildlife. Situated just outside of Charleston, the privately owned property is one of the largest privately protected reserves in the area.
